In the southeastern United States, a storm system moving in from the Gulf and traveling southeast will unleash some heavy rains from Texas to Tennessee. The story states that some areas may reach or surpass their normal monthly rainfall for March in just a few days. This is a continuation of the cool, wet weather this region has been receiving the past couple weeks. According to a local resident I talked with last week, this spring has been cold and rain compared to what the weather is normally like in Tennessee. The projected path of the low pressure system is shown in figure 2.

Prediction
Since I was away on spring break, I do not have a previous prediction for today. However, for tomorrow I predict mild temperatures in the 40s with mostly overcast skies due to the high pressure system moving into the Wisconsin area.
