Sunny and Chilly

Current Conditions

Temperature: 22 °F
Dew Point: 9 °F
Winds: NNW 6 mph
Pressure: 1019.0 mb
Visibility: 10 miles

Today was pretty uneventful as far as weather goes. The temperature this morning was a bit chilly at 9 °F with winds WSW at 5 mph. By the afternoon it was partly cloudy with winds NW at 6 mph and a temperature of 17 °F. Winds were much calmer than yesterday due to the high pressure air mass above Wisconsin.

In the northeast, residents are preparing for yet another nor'easter, and honestly by this point one can almost predict there'll be a winter storm every week. Although today some people recorded thundersnow in a nor'easter that rolled through. The video is pretty cool, check it out here

The nor'easter also shows up on the wind map in figure 1 and the water vapor satellite image in figure 2.

Previous Prediction

My prediction from yesterday was spot on, lower temperatures and clearer skies.

Prediction

For tomorrow, I predict Similar temperatures and mostly clear skies because the high pressure system is still in the area (figure 3).
