Another Cold and Breezy Day

Current Conditions:

Temperature: 23 °F
Dew Point: 6 °F
Winds: W 6 mph
Pressure: 1020.7 mb
Visibility: 10 miles

Today was very uneventful for Eau Claire. The day was sunny and clear with occasional winds and low temperatures due to the high pressure system in the area (figure 1).
Figure 1. Surface Map of the United States April 7, 2018.
The Midwest is essentially clear of any weather with no clouds in site. California however is dealing with some flooding issues and mudslides at the moment. There is also some heavy rain off the coast of Washington as well in addition to an occluded front over the Rockies.
Figure 2. Weather overview for Eau Claire, WI on April 7, 2018.
The weather graphs in figure 2 show winds consistently out of the west and temperatures that did not fluctuate much over the course of the day. There were also some wind gusts this afternoon, but nothing major.

Previous Prediction

My previous prediction was correct, there were clear skies and the high pressure system kept things cold.

Prediction

The forecast calls for some snow late tomorrow evening, but other wise conditions should stay the same as they were today with clear skies and low temperatures. With the chance of snow however, the pressure could decrease and temperatures could increase to the low 30s. Now we wait for the real spring weather to arrive...
