Today like most other days this week was sunny and cold. At 8:00 AM this morning the temperature was 3 degrees with some light, fluffy clouds to the south, around 20% cloud cover. Winds were out of the south at 4 mph making it feel like -5 degrees. At noon the temperature had climbed to 15 degrees and winds were still out of the south. The clouds had cleared by the afternoon and it stayed clear until sunset.
The winter storm that was heading towards the east coast yesterday is still causing some severe weather, mainly rain. The result has been flood warnings in much of the south. Figure 1 below shows the rain moving to the east.

For tomorrow, I predict sunny skies and higher temperatures, maybe in the low 20s.
