Maybe Getting Warmer?

Current Conditions

Temperature: 11 degrees, feels like 1 degree
Dew Point: -8 degrees
Winds: NW 6 mph
Pressure: 1028.4
Visibility: 10 miles

Well today the temperature at least started in the positives at 2 degrees (although it felt like -6). Light winds were coming out of the north at 4 mph and the sky was clear.  Over the course of the day not much changed.  The sky stayed clear and the temperature rose to 9 degrees around noon.  Winds continued to blow of the the NNW at 6 mph.  By this evening it was still clear and sunny and the temperature peaked at 11 degrees.

The same can't be said of the rest of the country.  The map pictured in figure 1 shows weather warnings issued by the National Weather Service.  There is a band of purple indicating winter weather advisories that correlates to the position of the winter storm blowing through the country right now.

This storm is wreaking havoc on the Midwest and will continue into the Northeast in the coming days.  I don't know if I want snow or prefer the sunny days.

My prediction from yesterday was off.  There was no light snow or any clouds in the sky.  The temperature did stay relatively the same though.

For tomorrow, I predict partly sunny skies and temperatures reaching into the low teens again. With the polar air mass, there really isn't a lot of unexpected weather to report besides the occasional wind chill advisory, which hopefully won't be happening any time soon.
