Warmer Temperatures on the Way

Current Conditions

Temperature: 26 degrees, feels like 16 degrees
Dew Point: 17 degrees
Winds: SSW 11 mph
Pressure: 1020.7 mb
Visibility: 9.0 miles

This morning started out mostly cloudy around 6:00 AM and transitioned to 100% cloud cover by 8:00 AM. The temperature at 8:00 AM was 15 degrees, 4 degrees higher than the peak  temperature yesterday! Winds throughout the day were mainly out of the south which is sending warmer air through Wisconsin. The peak temperature was 29 degrees at 4:00 PM with winds staying consistently around 6-10 mph. In the late afternoon skies cleared up and it was mostly sunny until sunset. Figure 1 below is a map of the temperature changes in the last 24 hours. According to the map, Eau Claire experienced a roughly 10 degree increase that is much appreciated.

My prediction from yesterday although vague was correct; there were higher temperatures and the cloud cover increased.

For tomorrow, I predict that temperatures will continue to climb, possibly making it into the 30s. This is based off of the wind map in figure 2 that shows continued winds coming from the south. In Wisconsin during the winter southern winds usually means warmer weather.
